2017-2018 Institutional Scholarships

INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Institutional Scholarships are offered and administered by UNT Dallas College of Law. The 2017-2018 General Scholarships are institutional scholarships.

2017-2018 GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The UNT Dallas College of Law is accepting scholarship applications for the 2017-2018 academic year. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. on March 31, 2017. Full detail can be found in the link below each scholarship. Currently enrolled students in the full-time and part-time divisions are eligible to apply for the following:

A. Dean’s Scholarship. Number available: Forty-four (44) one-time, non-renewable scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each for the 2017-2018 academic year. Only one award per recipient.

B. Lewis Sifford Scholarship - 2L and above applicants only. Number available: One (1) scholarship in the amount of $15,000 ($7,500 per semester towards tuition costs for the 2017-2018 academic year). Scholarship may possibly be renewed, but renewal is not guaranteed. Renewal is dependent on the availability of additional funding and if the student recipient maintains good academic standing. Only one award per recipient.

C. North Texas Giving Day Scholarship (NTGD). Number available: Six (6) one-time, non-renewable scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each for the 2017-1018 academic year.

D. L.A. Nelson, Jr. Scholarship. Number available: One (1) one-time, non-renewable scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for the 2017-2018 academic year. Only one award per recipient.

In accordance with ABA Standard 509(b)(3) disclosure requirements, UNT Dallas College of Law does not offer conditional scholarships. (Definition of Conditional Scholarship: A conditional scholarship is any financial aid award, the retention of which is dependent upon the students maintaining a minimum grade point average or class standing, other than that ordinarily required to remain in good academic standing.)
